RICHMOND, TX — Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers and the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office have increased the award in a 2017 homicide case to $15,000. Investigators are hoping that the reward will encourage witnesses to come forward and help authorities find out who killed Lorraine Diaz.

Beaumont police have identified the victim in a Monday morning shooting death as Lynda Barnes, 57. Police were called to the 1100 block of Church Street in connection with a shooting. When they arrived Beaumont Fire Department paramedics were treating the woman now identified as Barnes.
